Founder Coordinator's Message

January 14,2020

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to congratulate all of you for the successful establishment of the US Chapter of “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN)”. We have completed initial steps toward crafting a common platform to share our professional knowledge and enhance social bonding among the members. The launch was a proud moment for all of us and we will continue to connect through the Chapter.

The main objective of the US Chapter is to unite all the members of ICAN residing in the United States, and to facilitate professional linkage among its members. The value of information is priceless, therefore sharing knowledge is critical for personal and professional development. With the unprecedented growth of Robotic Process Automation (RPA), the accounting and finance world is rapidly changing. Accordingly, we need to redefine our roles and put ourselves in frontline to lead the change.

I feel deeply honored to be a part of the team that took the initiative to form this Chapter. I would like to thank all the members who agreed to be part of the team and rose to the challenge. First executive committee members deserve appreciation for spending considerable time working toward the formation of this organization. Likewise, I would like to thank current and past ICAN Presidents, ICAN Councils, ICAN Executive director and entire ICAN team for their continuous support.

Lastly, I want to reiterate that the success of the Chapter is based on active and meaningful participation of the members. I strongly urge all the members to be active and share their professional knowledge with the group. “ALONE WE CAN DO SO LITTLE; TOGETHER WE CAN DO SO MUCH.”- HELEN KELLER

With Best wishes,
